Acoustic Analysis Of Vowel Of Dongxiang Language On Database

We have chosen Dongxiang county, which is in Linxia Hui autonomous prefecture in Gansu province as the survey points to do research on Dongxiang language and based on this the acoustics analysis of voice of Dongxiang language has been done. Parameters of vowels of Dongxiang language have been extracted by the praat voice analysis software. And on the basis of previous studies, the characteristics of the vowels of Dongxiang language are described in detail and distribution patterns on the blade of tongue are listed through statistical analysis of the first and second formant of vowels.There are six parts in this dissertation.Part Ⅰ The introduction, overview and purpose of this research, origin of the language information and laboratory equipments are introduced.Part Ⅱ:Chapter one, mainly discussed the acoustics of vowels of Dongxiang language. They are the 12 monophthongs [(?) 1],which belong to 8 phonemes/(?)/.Part III:Chapter two, mainly discussed the diphthong of Dongxiang language. There are 12 diphthongs, [(?)],and are analyzed systematically.Part IV:Chapter three, mainly discussed the law of vowel harmony and stress of Dongxiang language, and according to Mongolian linguistic laws, there are six positive vowels [e,o,o,ei,eu,ue,],9 neutral vowels [i,u(?)] and 2 negative vowels [ε,(?)]. The stress of the word is on the last syllable, and along with the increasment of the number of syllable, the stress will move to the last one always.Part VI:The conclusion, is the discripsion of Dongxiang language from a new perspective.
