Along with social economy development and the deepening educational reform, basic education curriculum reform and improvement of students’ overall qualities play a very important role in education that should never be neglected. Hence, the implementation of education policies set higher requirements for the teachers. The prospect of national development lies in education, and the hope of education lies in teachers. Middle school teachers make a deep impression in academic careers of students, and they feel more stressful as the requirement for the teachers’ professional quality is continually rising. These pressures have already made some negative impacts on physical, psychological, etc. When occupational pressure cannot be relieved effectively, job burnout comes into being. At the same time, teachers’ well-being issue has gradually become a research hotspot. Improving teachers’ subjective well-being is good for healthy development of the whole education career. So called “delighted teaching” is that teachers should change traditional ideas, that is to say, teaching is not a means of livelihood but a life-style full of happiness and creation. As an ancient civilization, we respect teacher and his teaching since ancient times,but this conception cannot be transformed into teachers’ actual interests in modern economic market system. Social economic status of middle school teachers in our country should be improved, and whether it can reduce teachers’ job burnout and enhance their subjective Well-being to achieve the goal of “delighted teaching” is the original purpose and the starting point of this essay.Look and find the differences in the comparison, and make progress in analysis. Because we can draw lesson from the successful experience of other countries, this article broke the routine of drawing lessons from western countries and selected Thailand as a contrastive country, for the reason that Thailand is also in the Asian cultural circle. In this article, the social economic status, the job burnout and the subjective well-being of middle school teachers were compared between China and Thailand. And then the text explored the mediating effect of the job burnout between the social economic status and the subjective well-being.Based on this idea, instruments were used in this study included Maslach burnout inventory for teachers(MBI-ES) and General Well-Bing Schedule, and the social economic status, the job burnout and the subjective well-being of middle school teachers were compared between China and Thailand. Besides, this study examined the interrelations among them by using the method of questionnaire in 182 middle school teachers in China and 168 middle school teachers in Thailand. The major results were as follows:(1) In the respect of social economic status, the score of teachers in Thailand is significantly higher than teachers in China; In the respect of job burnout, the score of teachers in Thailand is significantly lower than teachers in China in the emotional exhaustion and depersonalization of job burnout, and there was no significant difference in diminished personal accomplishment between teachers in China and in Thailand; In the respect of subjective well-being, the score of teachers in Thailand is significantly higher than teachers in China. And the score of teachers in Thailand is significantly higher than teachers in China in worrying about health, energy, satisfaction and interests of life, sad or happy mood, depression and tension. However, the score of teachers in Thailand is significantly lower than teachers in China in emotion and behavior control.(2) Emotional exhaustion plays completely mediating role between social economic status and subjective well-being among middle school teachers in China, and plays partially mediating role in Thailand. Beside, diminished personal accomplishment plays partially mediating role between social economic status and subjective well-being among middle school teachers in China, and there is no significant mediating effect in Thailand.(3) In each dimension in China, emotional exhaustion plays completely mediating role between social economic status and energy, social economic status and satisfaction and interests of life, social economic status and sad or happy mood, social economic status and depression and tension. Beside, diminished personal accomplishment plays partially mediating role between social economic status and energy, social economic status and satisfaction and interests of life, social economic status and sad or happy mood, however it plays completely mediating role between social economic status and depression and tension.(4) In each dimension in Thailand, emotional exhaustion plays partially mediating role between social economic status and sad or happy mood, however it plays completely mediating role between social economic status and depression and tension. Beside, diminished personal accomplishment plays partially mediating role between social economic status and sad or happy mood, however it plays completely mediating role between social economic status and depression and tension.
