“Filial piety” is one of the most important concepts in traditional Confucian ethics, and it is also the moral pursuit of all the Confucian scholars. Wu Cheng in Yuan dynasty inherited ChuHis’ s theory, set up a personalize filial piety. Firstly, through the three connotation of the "benevolence", this article pointed out three theoretical basis of filial piety: piety is not only the nature of humanity and the Heaven’s requirements, but also the needs of society. Then why not every person can put piety into practice? That is because the human nature must be influenced by the Qi. Later, this article present that people must cultivate their mind to find and hold the natural instincts. In addition, this article also present that people can push our love of relatives to other people, then we can publish a harmonious society. Finally, this article analyzed the theory and practice’s aspects of Wu Cheng’s filial piety, point out that his filial piety is a systemic theory, and perfectly accord with his own entire theoretical system.
