Analysis On The Relationship Between Dulcimer Art And Classical Chinese Literature

Through the analysis on various works of different composers, this paper explores the reflection of narrativity in classical Chinese literature out of dulcimer art, as well as expects for the future creation and performance of dulcimer. The structure and main contents of this paper are shown as follows:Chapter One:Introduction. By analyzing research meaning> research status and research method of this essay, this chapter demonstrates significance of subject and essay basic ideas.Chapter Two:Relationship between Chinese national music and classical Chinese literature. It mainly starts with the origins of Chinese national music and classical Chinese literature from the preliminary stage to ancient times and then to modern age, this chapter demonstrates Chinese national music and classical Chinese literature growing together and supplying each other in thousands of years.Chapter Three:Relationship between classical Chinese literature and Chinese dulcimer art. This chapter mainly elaborates the effects of classical Chinese literature on dulcimer art creation, dulcimer performance and aesthetic values from appreciators, thus to illustrate the great importance that classical Chinese literature sheds on the development of dulcimer art.Chapter Four:Musical expression of classical Chinese literature in dulcimer works as Lin Chong Ye Ben and Li Sao. By analyzing the dulcimer works as Lin Chong Ye Ben and Li Sao that set classical Chinese literature as creation themes, this chapter demonstrates the literariness that dulcimer art reflects in its creation and performance.Based on the research and analysis of literature background, performance skills, as well as characters shaped by the music in dulcimer works represented by Lin Chong Ye Ben and Li Sao, this paper aims to strengthen the further understanding of dulcimer performers and researchers, making them ponder over the expressed ideological contents and literary connotation behind the works.
