The project is a translation of the Handbook of Shandong Jianglong Noodle Machinery Institute and Company, which belongs to the international publicity translation field. It can be divided into 4 parts:Institute and company introduction, noodle story, mechanical principles and machine introduction, and quality management, together 10,206 words.The author selected the translation strategies and completed translating the publicity materials by adopting western rhetoric persuasive theory, particularly Chaim Perelman’s Audience-Centered Theory and Kenneth Burke’s Identification Theory. There are five chapters in the report:in chapter one, the author gave a brief introduction to the project and the client’s requirement, and chapter two mainly covered the translation procedures, including translation schedule, translation aids, theories adopted and so on. In chapter three, the author introduced translation quality control and proofreading. Chapter four is the most important part, in which the author analyzed the text and gave some examples under the direction of several translation methods. In chapter five, the author concluded the whole project, pointing out some difficulties and giving some suggestions.
