| The differences between Chinese and western culture make the exists of a unequal meaning phenomenon between Chinese and English language. In teaching Chinese as a foreign language, this unequal phenomenon has great influence on the inequality of Chinese as second language learning. This paper will choose the core animal words in Swadesh list as the research object, such as "fish", "bird", "dog", "snake", "worm". Core words are often used in people’s daily life, is closely related to human beings. Swadesh’s selection criteria for the core vocabulary is "common world, no culture for the core vocabulary selection criteria, and they should be easy to identify the broad concept, in most languages can use simple words to the corresponding."Just as It is based on which represents the principle of general concept, as for core word research, this word list is generally used in domestic. In this paper, firstly, through statistical analysis of these animal core word senses in Chinese and English languages, comparative study respectively in Chinese and English languages usage and cultural meaning, the students related error analysis, and put forward the corresponding teaching suggestions, let the animal words become more vivid and rich culture in foreign in the teaching of Chinese.In this paper, the meaning of statistical data collected from the "modern Chinese Dictionary", "Chinese Dictionary", "Chinese Dictionary in twenty-first Century", "Webster’s Third New International Dictionary" and Baidu encyclopedia.This paper consists of eight chapters. The first chapter is a summary, second to the seven chapter separately on five animal words, including "fish" "bird", "dog", "snake", "worm", each chapter consists of four parts, namely Chinese semantic analysis, semantic analysis, English word meaning contrast, partial error analysis and teaching suggestions. The eighth chapter is the conclusion and reflection, the harvest and lack of self-evaluation. |
