New Century Unir Checheg Exploration(2000-2009)

Unir Checheg(Flower Land) is the first, the most infusive Mongolian literature periodical in Inner Mongolia. Since it was published for the first time, the periodical has made outstanding contributions to the development and flourishing of Mongolian literature. We can say that its growing process is a mirror of modern Mongolian literature development.This thesis focuses on the developing process of Unir Checheg in the first decade of the new century(2000-2009), explores its characteristics in the new century.The first chapter of the thesis introduces the growing process of Unir Checheg, and systematically analyses its development in the first decade of the new century. The second chapter of the thesis studies columns of Unir Checheg, systematically analyses the essays and writers in poetry, novel and comment columns, and briefly introduces the other columns which have been started since the beginning of the new century. The third chapter of the thesis explores the organizing and appraisal of literature prizes in the new century such as Eight Horses Prize and Unir Checheg Literature Prize. The fourth chapter of the thesis analyses the difficulties and challenges that Unir Checheg periodical is facing in the new century, summarizes the efforts and steps that the periodical has taken for the development, quality and distribution.
