| .With current rapid development of internet, digitalized products are starting to penetrate into people’s life day by day. As a result, modern reading trend is becoming more and more relied on these digitalized products, which provide huge flexibility and convenience to people’s regular reading habit. Among broad assortment of niche reading instruments available to readers, electronic magazines with diversified display effect and interaction are fresh in demand, because it’s considered to be the most cost-effective and convenient reading media on trend. Compared with traditional paper magazines, electronic magazines differentiate themselves by providing customers with a variety of formats and dynamics. Therefore, future development of visual dynamic formats for electronics magazines is driven by both the interactive functions of media and the attractiveness to potential customers. This paper mainly discusses visual dynamic formats applied in electronic magazines from a visual communication perspective, and explores emerging front-end components of media visual delivery. The introduction elaborates the significance, aim of this article and relevant research background. Then the first chapter further defines electronic magazine, including triggers for it, its evolution process, categories characteristics, its development pattern and its importance to the era of multimedia. In the second chapter, the author analyzes the key components of media visual delivery used in electronic magazines, such as design and layouts, textual contents edition, color graphics, animation, video and audio play etc. In addition, the functions and impacts of dynamic visual elements are concluded in comparison with traditional paper media. The third part is focused on some representative software, publishing platform and the analysis of practical cases, including Newwebpick for design category, Ruili for fashion, and Jianshang for Chinese classics and so on. At last, the author summarizes the necessities of developing electronic magazines and forecasts the future trend, especially for potential innovations. This paper covers a wide range of subjects e.g. aesthetics, communication, marketing, and psychologies etc, which lie a solid foundation for designing dynamic visual displays of electronic magazines. The innovation of this thesis is using both theory and practice to explore the evolution and prospects of electronic magazines from the perspective of visual delivery involved in new medium. To summarize, the expectations of this thesis are to comprehensively visualize specific characteristics of electronic magazines, analyze the formats of visual dynamics, provide a reference for future electronic magazine design, enlighten intelligence of designers and readers and ultimately achieve effective integration and utilization of resources in multimedia. |
