In recent years,because of its entertainment, social characteristics and people’s keeping fit, the social dance has gradually entered more and more college classroom. However, due to the coordination between men and women, and in the common course of taking a kind of students more for women in the higher sports colleges and universities, a gender imbalance was created.The promotion and development seriously affected the social dance. Combining with teaching practice, this paper analyzes the present situation of the social dance development, researches in the process than column imbalance phenomenon caused by the men and women on the impact of dancing education teaching, and tries to find a solution to this problem. Through teaching practice and research, the author put forward the following conclusions and recommendations:Firstly, the school should pay more attention to social dance course, intensifing propaganda and making the student to have in-depth knowledge of optional class, making choice on the basis of understanding rather than blindly signing up for it. The school educational administration department should play the role of the baton, rational distribution and regulatting the number of people’s taking dancing lessons, makeing balanced collocation between men and women.Secondly, the students in such aspects as motivation, needs, interests, attitudes exist difference, which are the key factors that influence their learning social dance. So the school should focus on strengthening the training and education in their teaching work in the future, to reform the course structure, adopt flexible and varied teaching methods, enrich teaching content, stimulate the students’ interest, and improve the students’ enthusiasm, creativeness and self-consciousness to learn social dance, which lay a foundation for future learning. At the same time, the school physical education should change ideas, make an organic combination of inside and outside the class, actively guide the development of sports competition, which will play the role to promote, create a good atmosphere in school.Thirdly, the social dance teachers should play a leading role to continuously improve their professional quality, adjust the teaching methods, to meet the requirements of students through the methods of multiple-partners and cross-partner.At the same time the teachers should pay more attention to arouse the students’ intrinsic motivation, cultivate the students’ interest in learning ballroom and the ability of autonomous learning, let the students form good learning habits.Fourthly, individual students is the key factor to solve the problem of imbalance between men and women, which is the internal cause.To fully understand the necessity of learning dancing, and to cultivate interest in learning dancing are the effective factors of psychological barriers to overcome same-sex partner match. At the same time mutual understanding, mutual communication between partners, cultivating team consciousness and the spirit of cooperation is conducive to overcome same-sex partner with psychological disorders.
