| Four of Liu Zhenyun’s recent novels, Cellphone, One word is even better than many words, I am not Jinlian Pan and Call me Yuejin Liu are studied in this essay, and we find the theme of novels at this period can be named "talking and communication", "talking" is namely speaking, at the level of "talking and communication". The theme,"talking and communication", narrows the readers’ attention down to "people", "the living condition of people" and "the connection between people". After the perusal, we deconstruct these texts with the theme of "talking and communication".This essay can be divided into three sections. In the first section, we discussed the feasibility of putting forward the theme of "talking and communication". There are three reasons. Firstly, "talking" appears quite essential in novels of this period. Secondly, we studied what is the factor that influences "talking and communication" and how it is established and destroyed. Thirdly, it is people who are "talking", thus it is necessary to have an idea of how "talking and communication" influences the reestablishment of human relation. How is the relation between one person and other people. And how is the relation between one person and the group After the above discussion, in the second section, we turned to discuss the changes of narrative brought about by the the formation of the theme "talking and communication" in Zhenyun Liu’s novels. We analyzed the changes from five aspects:the motivation of narrative, words, language, plot and structure.In the third section, we tried to discuss the reason, impact and limitation of the formation of "talking and communication"style novels. We investigated the reason why theme of "talking and communication" emerges. It came from three aspects:social cultural background, the relationship between the author and readers, that between books and market, and the philosophy behind Liu’s novels. The revolutionary idea and its impact lies in the reestablishment of human relation. As for the limitations, apart from "talking", other things in human relations, like behavior, authority, money also have great influence. So although the criterion of "talking and communication" is revolutionary, it is not everything. Also, we investigated the consequence of such criterion, and found the incompleteness and risk of such criterion of "talking and communication". |
