A Study On Traditional Poetics Meaning Of Bai Xianyong’s Fictions

Bai Xianyong is a famous contemporary Chinese writer. His accumulation of Chinese classical culture and literature makes his fictions full of Chinese traditional literature meaning. That becomes an important character of his fictions, which is well known in world literary circles. Bai Xianyong is deeply influenced by traditional poetry. He has said that he is greatly influenced by Chinese poetry and he likes reading poetry of the Tang Dynasty, Song poems and Yuan opera at an early age. He turns his love for Chinese classical poetry into a self-conscious artistic pursuit and infuses this emotion into his fictions creation.
