With the development of globalization, more and more countries make business in global, and the translation of the economic text has set off a heat in China. At present, the research and analysis about English-Chinese translation of the economic texts are generally concerned with economic terms, logical expressions and structural features. In order to vividly and intimately express the author’s idea, and let the target readers clearly understand the text, the translator must fully understand the syntactic features of economic texts and take appropriate translation strategies. Only in this way can translators accurately convey the information of the original text. During the translation process, the translator applies some translation strategies and deepens the importance of the combination of the theory and practice, the invisible function of the translation theories especially the theory of alienation and domestication, the economic terminology translation theory, which would guideline the translator in the future.In the materialistic society, for the people in their 20 s or 30 s, learning to finance is a key question related to our own interests. What’s more, learning the basic knowledge of finance means a lot to us. In addition, as a student of MTI, learning how to translate the economic material literature authentically and standard is also a big problem. Therefore, I chose Get a Financial Life: Personal Finance in Your Twenties and Thirties to translate, and chose chapter 5(bout fund, inflation and deflation) to write the translation report.According to the translation practice task of the materials cited in the appendix, which has a total of 10000 Chinese characters, the report is basically divided into three parts: Chapter one, the translator describes the translation task, the background, significance and value of choosing the text. Chapter two, the translator illustrates the course of fulfilling the task and time distribution of translation process including preparation before translation, translation process. Chapter three illustrates the cases chosen from the book. The translator learned a lot from the task.
