A Report On The Translation Of The Book The Imitation Of Christ

This is a Project Report on Translation of one of the Harvard classic books the imitation of Christ. The total number of the words of its English version is 61,785.Its Chinses version made by me has 113,989 Chinses characters.My translation version will be published by the Peopole’s Publishing House Of Inner Mongolia very soon.The imitation of Christ is the most popular and widely disseminated book about Christian which is only second to the Bible.The ideology plays an important role in the translation when we try to introduce a religious book.Such importance results from the characteristic of the religious book.1. The introduction and translation of a religion book is an important affair in the ideological realm.The translators must foster a habit to look at it in ideological way.2. The translation and reception of a foreign religion book is not a peaceful process.Translators have to realize its danger and make enough relative theoretic preparations in advance.3. The translators might as well take the advantage of existed ideological lexical system; such doing will ease both the translators and readers.This report can be reference for the translators who do the same work.
