The demise system in the period of Yao, Shun and Yu is generally considered as a democratic election among the tribal leaders before the appearance of national reunification when the hereditary system is regarded as the main way of the transfer of supreme power. In fact, the demise system is a combination of limited powers under the state tribal alliance leaders make the top-down and bottom-up democratic parliamentary coalition virtuous in the primitive society. Since Yu took over the throne and established the Kingdom of the State, the hereditary system replaced the demise system as normal form of the transfer of supreme power, However, the idea of the demise system is not annihilated. Afterward, because of the turbulent situation in the Warring States period and the late Western Han Dynasty, the trend of demise system climaxes one after another, and continues to be put into the new ideological connotations with the demand for the development of history. In the late Western Han Dynasty, five elements circulation theory and three unification learning are connected with the demise system in the field of social thought which directly contributes to be the success of establishing the New Dynasty replaced Han Dynasty, but, the failure of Wang Mang’s reform directly leads demise became usurpation by dissimilation.With regard to the demise, there is much records about the demise of the historical legends in the period of Yao, Shun and Yu retained in the Pre-Qin literature, later, the new unearthed "The Way of Tang Yu", "Zi Gao" and "Rong Cheng Shi" as the representative of the Warring States bamboo documents also appeared in the records of more systematic exposition demise. Although the Pre-Qin philosophers have different attitudes toward the demise of historical legends about Yao, Shun and Yu,and formed their own vary ideas about the demise. However, the abdication of Pre-Qin period caused a great impact on the people of the Western Han Dynasty, some of them who dare to explore and reform put it into practice, Thus, an unprecedented political movement was deducted by them.On the basis of the results of previous studies, this paper will focus its vision between Pre-Qin period and Qin-han Dynasty. This paper consists of four chapters. The first chapter is "Introduction", it mainly reviews the studies on the demise of Past and Present, as well as analysis and reflection, then determine the beginning and significance of this thesis, and explain the perspective and methods of this article.The second chapter is "The research of the Demise". This chapter mainly includes two sections, the first section is "The debate about the Abdication", it mainly introduces and combs the attitudes since the ancient times and today, and pave the way for the second section of "The research of the Demise". The second section mainly bases on the modern and contemporary Chinese and foreign scholars’studies to research whether there was a possibility of the demise existed in the primitive society, and point the demise is a combination of limited powers under the state tribal alliance leaders make the top-down and bottom-up democratic parliamentary coalition virtuous in the primitive society.The third chapter is " The evolve of the demise from the period of the Warring States to the Western Han Dynasty". It mainly through research the development of the demise from the Warring States period to the Western Han Dynasty to explore how the connotation of the demise rich and evolve. This chapter includes two sections too, the first section talks about the Pre-Qin philosophers’ different attitudes towards the demise legend, attributed to the positive, negative and destiny said.The second section mainly explores how five elements circulation theory and three unification learning are connected with the abdication in the field of social thought, and finally became an abstractive conception which formed theoretical foundation for the dynastic changes, and points out that three unification learning and five elements circulation theory are consistent in substance and method, which means that they both value the king in terms of a decree.The fourth chapter is "Wang Mang’s success in establishing the New Dynasty replaced Han Dynasty and his failure in reform". This part mainly talks about how Wang Mang could successfully in establishing the New Dynasty replaced Han Dynasty, and why his reform would fail soon then, at the same time, indicating the direct impact of his failure in reform which caused demise became usurpation by dissimilation, afterward, there has been no similar social reformer in full accordance with the Confucian classics.
