The Analysis On The Shape Features Of Tangshan Shadow Puppetry

Chinese shadow puppetry art is art treasure of Chinese nationality from form to now, it has a history of thousands years, the shadow puppetry art has been officially listed in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage lists. Tangshan shadow play is representative of northern shadow play, it is the crystallization of wisdom of the ancestors of Chinese nation, and is a rare kid of wealth. We should positively rescue and protect it,cultivate the adolescents’ interest and feelings on traditional folk cultures, and so that this precious cultural heritage can be known and continually developed.This paper will mainly elaborate the origin, development and shape features of Tangshan shadow puppetry. Through the methods such as analysis and comparison,history inquiry, on-the-spot investigation, the differences in the shape of Tangshan shadow play and Shan xi shadow, Gansu shadow, Qinghai shadow are be concluded, what are its remarkable characteristics. And then, explore the possible application of shadow arts in modern art designs, the traditional culture spirit and the modern design language are combined. In today when cultural industries rapidly develop, we only transform the shadow puppetry of the outstanding cultural resource into cultural capital, and we can make Tangshan shadow better play the role on heritage civilization and creating wealth.and promote the better development of Tangshan shadow puppet art. The protection and inheritance of shadow play art are related to the major issue of the national cultural heritage, which needs everyone’s efforts, so we need to scientifically understand artistic values of Tangshan shadow play in contemporary time, actively promote transformation process of Tangshan shadow from the advantages of cultural resources into cultural capital advantages. This paper hopes that through the study of shape features of Tangshan shadow puppetry and the analysis on the status, and contribute a meager strength for the inheritance and development of Tangshan shadow puppetry art.
