Film was first introduced into China in the early 20 th century. During its development of more than one century, Chinese films have been looking for nutrients suitable for their own survival in the fertile cultural soil in China. Localized problem runs through each stage of development of Chinese films, which is also the intrinsic motivation of the development of Chinese film so far. With the development of the times, our country residents have realized the basic material needs, and the demand for spiritual culture have soared as well at the same time. As a kind of strong comprehensive art, film can properly satisfy the spiritual demand and entertainment needs of the mass people. Since China’s reform and opening up, there are some outstanding works depicting the regional culture characteristics and the national geographic amorous feelings of Sichuan almost every year. The distinctive artistic images shaped by film and television works with the theme of Sichuan-style spread the Concordances of Bashu culture and showed the considerable historical sense of Bashu culture spirit. Through the ages, the industrious, straightforward Bashu people, who are always good at managing their life around the mountains and rivers of Bashu region, and their selflessness, fearlessness and brave dedication embodies the typical spirit of Bashu culture selfless fearless Dare to heroism Disposition of dedicated embodies the typical spirit of Bashu culture. Bashu people’s peculiar habits of life and spirit are perfectly depicted in the film and television works of Sichuan-style. At the same time, along with deepening of China’s cultural market opening and changes in the environment adds to the urgency of the systematical study of the regional culture in the films. Based on domestic films as the breakthrough point, this paper focuses on objects that is limited to the films that presenting the symbol of Sichuan region culture. This paper takes the film “Let the Bullets Fly” as example, taking the render of the film and the characteristics of the regional culture as the starting point, studies the Sichuan-style films systematically, especially the theme and the way of presenting stories. Especially in the context of globalization development, the prosperity of Chinese domestic films of ethnic regional characteristics has very important significance. Culture comes from the environments, and society is formed by culture, which means that the analysis of Sichuan regional culture embodied by domestic films is indeed necessary.Chapter one is introduction. By gathering and reading relevant literature and watching films of Sichuan-style, the topic background, researching objective, status of the research, methods and innovation points and difficulties are analyzed.Chapter two is to comb and define of the fundamental concepts, such as the understanding of Sichuan-style film, definition of the cultural symbol and the significance of the development of film of Sichuan-style.Chapter three is to present the symbols of Sichuan-style in the film, such as ethnic customs, folk culture, hot pot on behalf of Sichuan landscape, teahouse culture and Sichuan dialect.Chapter four is to present Sichuan-style in the film “Let the bullets fly” of Sichuan dialect version, describing the influence of subject on films and how Sichuan cultural symbol in the film shows unique Sichuan-style images.Chapter five is to present the narrative strategies of Sichuan-style in the film “let the bullets fly”, spicy and legendary film narrative style and crisp, clean transitions making Sichuan-style image in the film more prominent.Chapter six is to present the Sichuan-style film language, by analyzing the composition of the elements of the film languages in “let the bullets fly” to show the unique characteristic of Sichuan-style film language.Chapter seven is to analyze the development trend and the future of the Sichuan-style films by taking ideology, market mechanism, Sichuan-style film presentation methods into account.Chapter eight is the conclusion. Since Sichuan-style films are still in its initial stage, more work and efforts are required to develop the creativity and enhance the influence of Sichuan-style films.
