Research On The Cultural Heritage Protection Behavior Of Heritage Site Residents Based On Place Attachment

Cultural heritage is of cultural value, scientific value and aesthetic value. As an important tourism resources, the cultural heritage also has economic value. In the process of cultural heritage protection and management, the power of local residents can not be ignored, the emotional connection between residents and cultural heritage sites is objective existence, which can influence individual’s behavior of protecting cultural heritage. Place attachment reflects the emotional connection between "people" and "place", in this thesis the behavior of the residents’ cultural heritage protection will be studied based on place attachment theory, then provide new ideas for promoting local people’s enthusiasm of protecting cultural heritage.First of all, this study summarizes the conception, composition, research and application of the place attachment, and defines the place attachment by the four dimensions(place dependence,place identity, place affect, place social bonding).Then builds the relationship model between the dimensionality of place attachment and people’s behaviour of protecting cultural heritage. Secondly, extracts the observed variables of latent variables in the model by in-dcpth interviews analysis and document analysis method, then, according to the observed variables the questionnaire is designed and the first-hand data is collected. Thirdly, analyzes the collected data by structural equation model analysis software (Amos21.0). Then obtain the empirical research results of the relationship between the dimensionality of place attachment and cultural heritage behaviours. Finally, put forward the measures and suggestions for enhancing the enthusiasm of the local participate in the protection of cultural heritage.The empirical study result confirmed that the four dimensions of place attachment (place dependence,place identity, place affect,place social bonding) related to "low level of cultural heritage protection behavior" positively;Place satisfaction can be as the intermediate variables between the three dimensions of place attachement(place dependence,place identity, place affect) and the low level of cultural heritage protection behavior. Only place dependence can act on the higher level of cultural heritage protection behavior. Therefore, promote the level of the place attachment the residents can be as a measure for enhancing residents’ cultural heritage protection behavior.
