Study On The Personality Characteristics Of Guofan Zeng By Delphi Method

Objective: The study explores the personality characteristics of Guofan Zeng by the Delphi method. Combined with the historical data it analyses formation causes, change process and the relationship between these personality characteristics.Methods: The study explores Guofan Zeng’s personality characteristics by the Delphi method quantitatively.According to forecasts by Delphi method, combined with Allport’s theory of personality trait and Michelle’s context theory of personality, The study uses pure qualitative research methods to analyse the relationship of Guofan Zeng’s personality traits, the causes and the change process systematically.Results: Through all life of Guofan Zeng(1) Self-cultivation and self-examination, tenacity and stubborn, diligence and insistence, thrift and probity, shrewd and capacity, these five personality traits remain stable.(2)In the young and middle-aged period, perseverance and tolerance, he is strict to himself and he tolerates towards others, modesty and cautiousness fell to the lowest level, but the level of arrogance, blunt speak, impatience, violence and irascibility reached its peak.(3) In the middle-age period, perseverance and tolerance, he is strict to himself and he tolerates towards others, modesty and cautiousness rose to a higher level again, arrogance, blunt speak, impatience, violence and irascibility and other bad characteristics disappear, playing possum, peaceful mentality, tolerance, sophistication, thoughtfulness and other characteristics began to appear.Conclusion: Of Guofan Zeng the primary quality tenacity and stubborn and his center characteristics self-cultivation and self-examination, diligence and insistence, thrift and probity are stable. arrogance, blunt speak, impatience, violence and irascibility, generousness, sophistication, thoughtfulness, modesty and cautiousness, he is strict to himself and he tolerates towards others, turbidity and humbleness, playing possum, toleration those 11 kinds of secondary important qualities are changing. Through the case study of Guofan Zeng we found that the stability and variability of personality are not absolute, stability of different personality traits is inconsistent.If trait theories and context theories complement each other, we can explain the variation of personality traits more scientific and complete.
