Speed as one of the basic technique of expression in music, plays an important role in the musical image and the expression of emotion. Usually, faster music used to represent the lovely and lively, cheerful and humor, warm and excited music image, whereas the slower is used to express grief, sadness, melancholy lyrical implied image of music. If do not pay attention to the control and performance of speed in the play, your arbitrary speed up or slow down will destroy the integrity of the music. The author through her piano learning experience and witnessed the piano learners’ play around her found that different performers to the processing method of the same work "growing fast" is not same and different composers in the "growing fast" is totally in different style. So this point lies in large velocity range-- a small branch of the relative velocity in "growing fast" in music in the application and research, trying to analysis several common musical terminology which can express "growing fast"-- "Accelerando", "Animato", "Mosso", "Stretto", "Stringendo"(one of them "Animato", "Mosso" often need with Piu, Meno, Poco to match so they can be more obvious to express growing fast trend) fine, a series of questions analysis which contain such as different meaning, performance difference and why before the romantic period these speed mark did not so prevalent but later use reason so frequently and its aesthetic significance and so on, then combine with the two romantic period many great composers-- in the works of Lester and Chopin examples analysis, the hope can make the "growing fast" has a more three-dimensional image, and the player will pay more attention to it.This paper mainly discusses from four aspects, the first part is an overview of the definition and classification speed, brief introduction of speed, and something need to pay attention to. The second part is on the relative speed of "growing fast" overview, lists several common “growing fast" terminology, analysis its causes, relationship with other gradually fast speed and gradually fast artistic value and aesthetic significance. The third part of the main and the fourth part is the focus of this paper, which is the third part of the main longitudinal comparison of Chopin and Lester’s works, from their same and different genre appeared in the relative velocity in "growing fast" carries on the contrast analysis.
