Research On Applying Sichuan Opera To Secondary School Music Teaching

As required in the currently used music curriculum standards for Secondary School, our students should learn more about the national folk music to stimulate a str ong love to our country and help them establish an identity of this nation. We have to t hink about how to accomplish this goal, how to instruct the secondary school students to make full use of music class to learn more about the national folk music, how to te ach them to appreciate the beauty of music, to have a good sense of music, and how to popularize national folk music.In this research, I choose 5 typical melodic styles from Sichuan opera - Kunqiang , Gao Qiang, Hu Qin, Tanxi and Dengxi, to explore a set of effective teaching mode a nd teaching method to combine Sichuan opera with secondary school music teaching.
