Propagation Of Buddha’s Teaching On Birth And Death In Malaysia

The term "Buddhist Society" or "Buddhist Association" means a gathering place where people get together and practice Buddha’s teaching, in conjunction to this, it is a layman Buddhist organization and also a non-profitable organization. Thus Buddhist society becomes one of the main medium to propagate Buddhism in Batu Pahat. This article is taking Batu Pahat Buddhist Society as a case study, mainly focus on "how Malaysia Buddhist society come about and the effect on propagating Buddha’s teaching on birth and death".This research is taking the approach to have a in depth interview on a group of people who is related to the propagating effect of Buddha’s teaching on birth and death, and collecting data by interviewing the respective group leaders and the some chairpersons in the pass. Besides tracing the propagation path from all previous year’s minuets of meeting, this research also taking the approach serving a questionnaire, among this there are several interviews to some candidate from Buddhist and non-Buddhist, trying to find out the propagation of Buddha’s teaching on birth and death in Malaysia, hope to benefit the understandings of religious propagation in Malaysia.The paper firstly describe the research background, characteristic, the deference of beliefs, yet introducing the Malaysia Buddhism’s development and also how Buddhist society operates in each different cities of Malaysia. From the development of Batu Pahat Buddhist Society to understand the how this society is founded, developed and operates under Malaysia’s multi religious and multi cultures environment. After 28 years, the aim of spreading Buddha’s teaching on birth and death become stabilized, with the effort of Batu Pahat Buddhist society, spreading this teaching on birth and death, what is the influence of this teaching to the District of Batu Pahat.This paper also investigates the means of Batu Pahat Buddhist society use to propagate this teaching on birth and death. From the investigation shows, The rapid spreading of the birth and death’s teaching is mainly due to the method of spreading, public physiological factor, human mind’s concept, education, the involvement of some activities, this teaching gradually influence the public on their opinion regarding birth and death, culture, impression on Buddhist Monk, society and personal pro and cones. And the most important point the public is inspired with this teaching regarding birth and death. Besides that, by involving in activities, it helps to improve participant’s quality of life, focusing on the quality of personal characteristic and Buddha teaching’s practices accomplishment. With these, it has given certain impact on the propagation.This article also further explore life and death of transmission of Batu Pahat Buddhist Societ.The study found in view of the way students spread mainly relying on perception of education of Batu Pahat Buddhist Society, conservation through Buddhism,, Educational approach family, social and other multi-channel concept allows students the wide dissemination, The concept of his death spread through the Buddhist funeral this main route of transmission. In view of the spread of Buddhism will affect the level of life and death, Buddhist conception of death spread to believers、monks and other individual level and the social level to produce a certain effect.Health and personal view of Buddhist believers impact of as self-interest, altruism; harmony, institutional, personal influence on the monks preaching Buddhist repentance and through the gap between the economic effect, and play an active role in maintaining social aspects of the pure land.
