This paper, taking the author’s translation in Five-Minute Activities-- a resource book of short activities by Penny Ur., lists the difficulties during the translation process, tries to find the solution to the difficulties and summarizes the main translation strategy used in the text, finally gains the experiences in the translation.Five-Minute Activities is a teaching activity highlights co-authored by Penny Ur. and Andrew Wright. This book introduces over 100 activities that are suitable for all levels of students, can be used in every link in class, and can promote students abilities in every aspects. It is beneficial for teachers to improve their teaching abilities and meet the demand of education reform in China.It is composed of four parts. The first part is the introduction of the task, writer, text and significance. The second part is the preparation, process, proofreading of the report. The third part refers difficulties encountered in the process of the translation, and the solution and strategy adopted in the translation. The last part comes up with the reflection of the translation and summarizes the problem to be solved in the future.
