Fu Shan Calligraphy Research

Fu Shan is a famous ideologist calligrapher and literatus at the end of the Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, his unique theory and art of calligr aphy, overthrow the servility and advocating were praised highly by future generation s. He learnd from Yan Zhenqing, and summed up the experience of "Si Ning Si W u " His calligraphy works are permeated with noble moral integrity, permeated with th e atmosphere of patriotism, in Chinese classical painting and calligraphy, has won hig h praise.This paper is divided into four parts to study the Fu Shan’s calligraphy art.The first part is about his family life, school books(learning process)and works. His learning process is divided into four periods by the time. The second part analyzes the background of Fu Shan calligraphy. The third part through analysis of representative of the cursive, cursive works, explains its unique style of calligraphy. The fourth part is the summary of Fu Shan’s contribution to the art of calligraphy and some enlightenment to contemporary calligraphy learning.
