| The Spring and Autumn Period, during which the systems of philosophy and traditional culture are formed, is significant in Chinese history. Tso Chuen, one of the most important classics in that period, has profound cultural significance in philology and historical science and has recorded all the covenant activities during the entire period. As the media of the cultural and political practices, these activities highlight the cultural appeals of the era and have great influence on the emergence of hegemony and the formation of political hegemony. This thesis focuses on Tso Chuen and analyzes all the covenant activities taking place during the Spring and Autumn period, in order to present these activities in statistical tables, make a summary of them and divide the historical period into different stages based on the analysis and summary.This paper summarizes four major features of the covenant: vulnerability, group nature, complexity, and series.
