Under normal circumstances, fairies often refer to the female immortal. The female immortal is blooming like a bright star in the Chinese culture, and it has the extraordinary beauty of the female image in the collection of fine, holy, divine and various aspirations by people. But it is not the original appearance of the female immortal, from the Chinese culture’s processes, social development, fairies are the result of a series of transmutation and now finally form the fairy images of the people in mind. Fairies image’s changes have a close relationship with the development of social thought and Taoism. At the same time, the rendering of writers is an important factor in promoting the fairy images evolution. Based on this, this paper will specifically explore the transmutation process of fairy images evolution before Tang and the internal evolution of the track through the literature before Tang, the changes of social thought and the rise and development of the Taoist.Specifically, this paper contains the introduction and conclusion, in addition, the main part is composed of three chapters. The first chapter is mainly expounding the origin and characteristics of fairies. In order to identify the characteristics of fairies, find out the source, evolution processes and internal locus of fairies cultural accurately, the first we do is identify the two concepts related to fairies culture. 1. God and immortal. People from the overhead of sky is God. On the contrary, it is immortal. But the differences between God and immortal are blurred sometimes in the development process. Then, the even said of "God" and "immortal" was born.2. Goddess and the fairy. With congenital or acquired standards for classification, female immortal is divided into two types of congenital and acquired. In addition to the goddess, there is a Shennv said. In our views, the goddess and Shennv are mutually inclusive statements. Fairy is the common name of Taoism on Shengxian women, and it is gradually extended to secular title by the Taoist. Since the Sui and Tang dynasties, Fairy is not only refers to the Taoist female immortal, but gradually become the common name of goddess, Taoism and folk beliefs of female deities. The culture of fairy is rooted in the faith of female deities worshiped. With the breeding and development of fairy faith, goddess and immortal cultural mutual support and construct, a good image of famale is forming that is beautiful and elegant, immortality and kind. The second chapter focuses on the changes of goddess image in the literary before Tang. This chapter focuses on the induction and analyzing of goddess images in the poetry, Fu, novels and other literary types before Tang, and explores their mysterious world from appearance, decorative, behavior and other aspects. Over time, goddess experienced the development process of "godhead obvious, honorable prominent- God weakened, focusing on gorgeous- humanity enhanced, world tie him down" in the literary before Tang, which is a microcosm of people thought changes, and it also prepared the way for their services of Taoist absorbing a lot of goddess. The third chapter will discuss the development of Taoist female immortal character. This chapter focuses on discussing the fairy types, characters, the secular tendency and its causes figural fairies in Taoist classic before Tang. Taoism is probably in the Eastern Han Dynasty about the birth of the second century, and Taoism is the combination of traditional culture and mythology of the world was most closely related to the religious desires in many of the religious system of China. Taoism inherited women worshiping culture in primitive society, and developed the culture in the female immortal worship and faith, then brought the fairies faith to the extreme. In the immortal biography, fairies experienced the change from God to the immortal, and give the fairies Taoist colors, so the fairies were even more dazzling. In the process of secularization in Taoism, Taoist immortal lineage included some folk beliefs the gods, immortal image of Taoism gradually "humane." Thus, the Taoist female immortal also appeared in "humane" and "secularization" feature. However, Taoist secularization of female immortal also maintain superhuman posture, which was retained as "God" in a certain extent some of the features. In short, fairy status can not be ignored in the development of Chinese culture possession. She is not only a simple fairy system gender-specific, and is the ancient Chinese ideal of a better kind of sustenance. Immortal culture is an important part of ancient and splendid Chinese culture. Thus, through the exploring of female immortal transmutation before Tang, we are able to have a thorough understanding of fairies, and then through the fairy culture to get a new understanding of whole ancient society.
