To meet the demand of college teachers including the basic work and life is the prerequisite to establish stable team of college teachers. Job Burnout of college teachers will directly influence their physical and mental health, making their work and emotional loss, and become the primary reason of their being tired of teaching, leaving, difficulties for the improvement of their work.The survey was carried out by means of a questionnaire referring to 467 serving teachers in Shaanxi Normal University about their needs and job burnout. The results of the survey show that the most pressing needs are as following in turn:Income level, the fair path of Professional Title Promotion, the time for the scientific research, housing conditions, further education, the opportunities of training and learning, their children to school, office, research conditions, the promotion of their teaching skills, applying for subject to publish papers, funding support and so on. The study also found that different gender, age, education level, marital status, children, the condition of Professional Title Promotion are the main reasons. And the study identified that job burnout of college teachers would tend to be on the rise as their increasing age and teaching age.Conclusions:the needs of college teachers performance for these characteristics that the survival needs matching their pain is urgent, the growth needs related to the professional characteristics is strong, the need of organizational support would be diverse. A small number of college teachers are in a state of severe job burnout and most of them are in a state of mild one.According to this, suggestions are as followed for school management department to strengthen the word of college teachers:The first, providing economic security for college teachers to meet their survival needs; the second, creating a supportive environment to provide convenience for the teachers; the third, improving the system of university teachers’ evaluation appraisal; the forth, the school should change the concept of management to encourage teachers to participate in management; the fifth, establishing Teacher support system; the sixth, showing humanistic care; the seventh arousing teachers self-efficacy.
