In the world of Chi Zijian’s fiction, scenery occupies a unique place and has distinct connotation. It is not the usual meaning of landscape, but a comprehensive concept, including nature/landscape and human activity. It gives unique reading experience to the works of Chi Zijian. This paper gets into the world of Chi Zijian’s literature from "scenery" angle, run through the topics of scenery narrative, and explore the secret relationship_between scenery narrative and author’s life experience. Besides, with the purpose of exploring uniqueness of scenery narrative, the essay will try to explain the function of scenery narrative and the significance to Chi Zijian’s fiction.In the general introduction, the paper introduces the related research on Chi Zijian, and points out the special statue/research value of "scenery" in Chi Zijian’s works, then, to establish the reliability of study.The first chapter mainly studies the theme of scenery narrative. On the whole, Chi Zijian’s scenery narrative has three kinds of topics:the first is unique "arctic village scenery"; the second is original "shaman scenery"; the third is bleak and gray "civic scenery". The three different kinds of scenery consist of the beautiful world of Chi Zijian’s literature.The second chapter talks about the relationship of scenery narrative and life experience. On the one hand, the author’s emotion and attitude affect objects, making the objects having children’s innocence and girlish dream. On the other hand, the nature also influences Chi Zijian’s emotion and cognition. From the nature, the author understands the truth of life and death, the dark and luminosity. The interaction between them, makes the works deeper meaning.The third chapter is to analyze the function of scenery narrative. In Chi Zijian’s fiction, scenery has special charm, due to personification and daily writing. Besides, the author always focuses on the person in scenery, injecting soul to monotonous landscape. Thus, the works reek with brilliance of humanity and warmth.The fourth chapter discusses the significance of scenery narrative with Chi Zijian’s fiction. Chi Zijian always adheres to her literature style of "beauty", so, scenery narrative becomes her inevitable choice. By writing the opposite region of village and city, she finishes her pursuit to the beauty of nature and humanity, and the salvation to the ugliness and evil.The conclusion talks about her natural concept. The author’s scenery narrative is changing, from the hometown to city, then back to hometown again. The change implies that the author looks for psychic homeland. At last, the author finds the poetic psychic homeland in her hometown.
