During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Jiangnan has many famous families of literary.The family of Wan in Ningbo is one of the most famous. The Wan family’s rise is in the early of Ming Dynasty, it is famous of military. In the period of Wanli, the members of the family turned martial arts into literature and the family becomes very influential in the Easten Zhejiang. So the emergence of Wantai, Wansida, WanSibei Wansitong, Wanyan, WanChengxun and a large number of outstanding scholars isn’t by chance, they had acquired great achievements in the study of Confucian classics, the science of history, the Confucian of idealist philosophy and literature. Therefore, they owned a reputation in The Eastern Zhejiang school and their creation represent the tide of literature in Eastern Zhejiang. The author will relate the literature study of the family of Wan to the specific historical and cultural background. Based on sufficient information and the original documents, the author will take literatures as the standard and link history with discusses. The author will describe the transition and feature of literary creation of the Wan Family at the beginning of Qing Dynasty through several methods, such as compiling,examining and proving, and emending. This paper mainly includes six chapters and four appendixes. The details are as follows:The first chapter and the second chapter are general theory. the author will hackle the clue of the origin of the family and the family’s study. Also, the author will discuss their literary activities and literary thoughts in the Eastern Zhejiang. In the process that the Wan family turned from the loyal military family to the genial, cultured and elegant family, Wantai and the other eight outstanding representative inherited Wang school and formed a atmosphere of loyalty, filial piety and educated. The members of Wan family shuttling in many political activities and Poetry Association, they Close contacts with Huangzongxi, Quanzuwang, become the mainstay of the eastern Zhejiang School in the early Qing Dynasty. The Wan family’s conception of on the old Dynasty country feelings, "to keep the history of poetry" epic consciousness, "poetry of nature" represents the eastern Zhejiang literature trend of thought. Thus Wan family’s literature is inevitably influenced by the regional culture of eastern Zhejiang. Their views on literature represents the spirit and literary concepts of the family, which shows the achievement of their literary theory as a whole.The sixth chapter choose Wan’s successor Wanyan and his son Wanchengxun’s experience and family feeling as the research object to show their difficult position of sandwiched between the homeland and the new dynasty, facing family and cultural inheritance dilemma. Furthermore, the author will Combine with case studies and the times background analysis to deeply illustrate the important influence of family and regional factors on NingBo Wan family’s literature and certain special status and contribution of NingBo Wan Family in the history of literature in the early Qing Dynasty in eastern Zhejiang area.
