| Meng Ling, an outstanding educator of vocal music, is a professor and supervisor of graduates in People’s Liberation Army Arts College. During the People’s War of Liberation she has been starting her career since she joins in the art troupe and after then she once worked in the Tibet and Chengdu Military Area. Meng Ling has been engaged in vocal music teaching for decades, and with her decades of teaching experience she achieves marvelous education positive results. She not only publishes a significant amount of academic productions, but also trains many talents in the arts such as Wang Hongwei, Liu Hegang, Zewang Duoji and Ha Hui, making a great contribution to the vocal music teaching in China.However, in addition to the professionals, in the eyes of most ordinary people, they only know Wang Hongwei, Liu Hegang since they are active in the arena of people’s life. It is because of their success that their supervisor Meng Ling gradually becomes more popular in the vision of the general public. But there are only few researches related to her except some basic introductions and experience, meanwhile the study based on her Chinese national vocality teaching theory at home and abroad is still a blank. Therefore this thesis attempts to make a deep exploration on Professor Meng Ling’s Chinese national vocality teaching practice by refining, including and analyzing the associated documents to analyze the acoustic ray, sound, vocal range and tone features of her students completely. The thesis consists of five parts mainly:In the introduction of this thesis, the author proceeds from the whole to make a brief introduction to the reason of writing the paper, the literature review, the methodology as well as the the innovation points of the thesis.In the first chapter, the author introduces the life of Meng Ling and her unique life experience of going with the army, then briefly concludes her contribution to vocal music teaching.In the second chapter, by overlooking the dissertation published by Meng Ling and the relative materials and interviews, the author summarizes three aspects of Meng Ling’s teaching content and teaching skills:the scientific level of vocal training, the significance of breath training and the of a tenor’s usage of "off’technique.In the third chapter, by sorting the materials collected which are related to Meng Ling’s Chinese national vocality teaching, the author discusses her teaching principles from two aspects which are scientific principle and national principle. The scientific principle includes four parts, such as the high standard of the selection of the materials, the idea of improving the overall qualities of the training talents, the method of studying step by step to lay a solid foundation and the teaching methods of teaching according to individuals’aptitude. While the national principle consists of two parts, one is the inheritance and development of the traditional and western vocal music arts, the other is the combination of the two.Then the last chapter concludes the significance and enlightenment of Meng Ling’s teaching idea and Chinese national vocality teaching in modern China.On the basis of collecting, sorting and analyzing the materials available, the author intends to explore the content of Meng Ling’s teaching practice, drawing some unique theories and points. On the other hand, the innovation and high value makes the dissertation more attractiver.The author here hopes that this research could bring new blood to the present vocal music teaching and bring her pygmy effort to endeavor the development of Chinese national vocality so that the latter could reach a higher ambit. |
