| As the international political and economical interchanges become increasingly frequent, the intensive exchange of cultural products makes the cultural globalization an irresistible trend. Although the international communication of Chinese TV documentary has had a 30-year history, when comparing to TV series or movies, they are still in a vulnerable position in the international market owing to weak competitiveness. In order to change the situation, the analysis of the obstacles during the process of the international communication is quite urgent.The paper aims to explore the communication effect of the Asian circulation of Chinese TV documentary according to the surveys and focus group, by incorporating A Bite of China â…¡ as the research object. Based on cultural proximity theory, it attempts to figure out how and why the cross-cultural acceptance differs between different areas.This paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction of research background and discussion about the theoretical basis. Then, the second chapter reviews the general situation of the global circulation of Chinese TV documentary, including its historic evolution, current situation and relevant policies. Chapter 3 is about the text analysis of A Bite of China â…¡.Chapter 4,with broad survey and rich data as the foundation, induce the generality and diversity of different areas, and sum up the experience and lessons in the Asian circulation. The. paper also gives suggestions for future practice at last. |
