In the middle and late 19th century, North Korea was in the end of feudal society with political turmoil while their foreign policy had began to change from the close-door policy to non-subjectivity open up. Therefore, the social crisis in North Korea was deepened. However, the invasion from western powers and Japan and the activities of strengthening suzerainty by the Qing Dynasty resulted in serious national crisis in North Korea. The North Korea civilized, as an advanced political party at that time, was generated therefore. To save the country form crisis and build a independent, prosperous and strong North Korea, they carried out a series of activities. In 1881, Jin Yunzhi, the main leader of the civilized party, was appointed as an envoy to Tianjin, China. Through communications and his own information, his global vision of "close to the Qing Dynasty and opposing Japan" was built.While Jin Yujun, another main leader, devoted himself to the study of Japan. He went to Japan three times from 1882 to 1884. During lingering in Japan, he was drew over to Japan’s side by many powers from the Japan political circles. At the same time, the Qing Dynasty conducted activities to strengthen suzerainty in North Korea. So far, his global vision was generally formed as "close to Japan and opposing the Qing Dynasty".Guided by different global vision, the North Korea civilized party was divided in to the moderate, leaded by Jin Yunzhi and the radical, leaded by Jin Yujun. They divided from Im-ou military revolt and thoroughly separated in time of Jiashen Coup. The division not only weakened the power and frustrated their development, but also provided opportunities to them who wanted to invade the North Korea. All this deepened the national and social crisis in the North Korea. And the North Korea’s road to modernization was even harder.
