Dream Painters

This article mainly focuses on analyzing the documentary Dream Painters and specifically elaborates the intention of this project, the whole process and my introspection from four different parts.In order to receive better education, an art examinee Meng Jinxia left for Guiyang, the capital city of Guizhou province to seek for opportunities. As the heroine of this film, I pinned my hope on recording her life in the studios to exhibit a complete story which aimed at telling people choosing to be an art examinee was tough. Not as many believe that this is a smooth way to get enrolled in college, the so-called "success through indirect path" had been gradually collapsing in the art exam. Hopefully this film is a wake-up call for those who still firmly believe there is an easy way to enter the college by simply majoring in art in the future. On the other hand, I do wish that through the record of Meng Jinxia’s diligence and her aspiration of tomorrow, this film could evoke audience’s passion of chasing their own dreams.The first part is a brief introduction on the background. The second part is to explain the conception and the procedure of this work. The film is deconstructed and analyzed with professional theories in the third part. The last part is to sum up what I exactly get after producing the whole project and I consider this part as my own enlightenment of the creation.After reading what I ran though and explained in this paper, I hope the audience could get more information from this documentary.
