| There are some articles about Chinese emperors’ calligraphy in academiccircles. Among these articles, some make a simple statement from the technique aspectsand some evaluate from the western aesthetic. However, most of the articles are scatteredand insubstantial.So we need to expand research horizons and carry out relatively coherentand comprehensive studies.There are many Chinese ancient emperors who are good atcalligraphy.The calligraphy of emperors of Tang, Song and Qing dynasty had the specificstyle of times.This paper focuses on Emperor Taizong Huizong, emperors Qing EmperorGaozong and re-examine the three emperors’ calligraphy and the achievement in thehistory of calligraphy in the entire background of Chinese emperors calligraphy.Moreover, this paper also aim to provoke thinking on the development trend of calligraphy.In the introduction part, it discuss the position of the emperors’ calligraphy in the artof calligraphy calligraphy study aiming to make a carding of Taizong, Huizong, and QingGaozong ‘s calligraphy. And this part also aim to expound the special laws of emperors’calligraphy. The second chapter discusses apprentice issues and races the origin of thethree emperors’ calligraphy avoiding linear thinking, and this chapter also make a study forthe relationships among three emperors according to their special learning background.The third chapter discusses the different artistic pursuit of goals for three emperors and thedifferent special values reflected from their works. The forth chapter measures the value ofthree emperors’ calligraphy in society in all aspects and makes calligraphy expand from individual behavior to the affecting of all aspects of society. In the final chapter, itevaluates all the activities of three emperors regarded as the appearance of social natureand the body of calligraphy. It aims to sum up some valuable experience for our reference. |
