Study On The Value Of Signage System In Spatial Context Of Museum

In the paper, it aims to study the morphology and design language establishedunder the mutual integration state between signage system design and museum’sspatial context. As for the commonness and individuality of signage system, variousproblems, such as its sound inheritance of museum’s cultural connotation and itsintegration with museum’s spatial context in the form will be attached with greatimportance in the paper while solving functional problems of the signage system.Based on the design research of signage system, with arrangement and analysison related knowledge such as architecture, environmental psychology, photographyand communication science, the research value of signage system in the museum’sspace will been established combined with the theory of visual communication as wellas concept of museum exhibition design. At the same time, it deeply studies howsignage system understands and absorbs museum’s unique cultural individuality aswell as context conveyed in the space. In the paper, it studies the functions of signagesystem in museum’s spatial sequence for its integration and optimization. Then itexplains the extension and diversity of signage system design formally from differentdimensions with emphasis on information logic and visual correlation so as to breakthrough the stereotyped view on signage system design. By taking research on thismuseum as an example, the paper aims to propose new methods for innovating anddeepening signage system design.Based on the conclusion of museum signage system design, the paper summarizesproblems needing to be solved during museum signage system design practice bysorting out and analyzing signage system cases home and abroad with combination ofhis personal experience, which better supports the arguments in this paper, andmeanwhile it determines the design positioning and methods of museum signagesystem. Besides, it carries out a deep analysis on its context communication from theperspective of spatial design, which provides powerful theory and basis forunderstanding the rationality and culturing of museum signage system designcomprehensively.
