| Since ancient times, color is an indispensable element in the planarity painting.The change of plane color is from unconscious to conscious, even in the era of themodernism painting, artist no longer satisfied with imitation and decoration aboutthe plane color, they has spiritual demand on it. Since then, color has been anindependent subject to get the attention and exploration of the artist. The artistreached the creative objective and refresh our understanding of the color byweakening the complexity of the color, refining the color, ignoring the contrast, evenchanging the object to balance the internal shape frame structure. The function ofplane color is from primitive worship to decorative effect to emotional expression,but the artist never give up the research of plane color. The artist’s responsibility is tolearn the old rule, free the existing rule, and recreate a new rule which can bringpeople a pleiotropic and multi-layered art space. This paper aims at the study onplane color’s development history, the language expression way, emotionalexpression, the relative space, the application of plane color in ancient Chinese artand the application of plane color in my creative practice. We use theabove-mentioned six parts to analyze and integrate the plane color. This paper istrying to explain the charm of plane color in the artistic creation——Simplifiedgeneralization, decorativeness, space compression and emotional representation etc.In each chapter, we analyze some representative painters’ works, to make the artsmore active,and stimulate creative vitality. |
