"Peking University’s collection of oracle-bone inscriptions" is another important, large oracle bone cataloguing books following the six-volume "East of Huayuanzhuang on the Yin Ruins" edited by the Institute of Archaeology of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in 1993. And the published information undoubtedly supplemented the first-hand data, new and reliable information for relevant research work and it has arisen great attention of the academia.My article conducts a comprehensive collation and study of "Peking University’s collection" from six aspects such as the rubbing description’s source errata, definition, integrity, quantity, collation of annotation, according to the font to classify. It found that there are 10 cases of oracle bones marked as erroneous in the source of description; a total of 282 cases of rubbings in "Peking University’s collection" are clearer than that in "Collection"; a total of 471 cases of rubbings’ definition in "Peking University’s collection" is lower than that in "Collection"; 141 cases of rubbings in both of the two books are blurry; a total of 3 cases of rubbings’ integrity in "Peking University’s collection" is higher than their definition in "Collection"; a total of 10 cases of rubbings’ integrity in "Peking University’s collection" is lower than their definition in "Collection"; a total of 25 cases of rubbings in "Peking University’s collection" is more complete than that in "Collection"; a total of 30 cases of rubbings in "Peking University’s collection" is not more complete than that in "Collection"; 7 cases of rubbings in "Peking University’s collection" show error in layout position; a total of 263 cases of oracle bones show error in collation of annotation.In this paper,3033 pieces of oracle bones in "Peking University’s collection" are classified from the font; all oracle bones take the group proposed by Mr. Huang Tianshu as the standard except the subgroups, Wu group, bad body that proposed by Mr. Xue-qin li.Therefore, this paper points out the value and mistake of "Peking University’s collection" and hope it will be of benefit to the inscribed oracle bones in "Peking University’s collection" and the basic collation and study of oracle in the future.
