Outdoor Signs System Design Of Pedestrian Street In Sanya City Of Hainan Province

The Signs System in business environment is considered to be one of the most representative visual forms of cultural expression in the construction of modern cities and the development of businesses. Sanya is the southern coastal city of China and its geographic position reflects the unique characteristics of Hainan Island. The unique indigenous named Li ethnic minority manifests the humanistic feature of Hainan. Hainan Province was built in 1988. It proved to be an international island in 2010. The thriving development of tourism Lay a foundation for Sanya building up its modern commercial civilization. Jiefang Road Pedestrians Street is the most representative sites which can reflect Sanya’s commercial-cultural development.Based on the study of traditional culture of Li ethnic minority and regional characteristics of Hainan, we integrate the visual planning of outdoor signs system in Sanya Jiefang Road. We aim to provide a strong, highly recognized professional signage system which can reflects the unique cultural characteristic of Sanya. Summarize the shortage of the exsiting deficiencies of the current outdoor signs system in Jiefang Road Pedestrians street, we redesign 4 sets of schemes which can highly match the geographic and cultural characteristics of Sanya. Two of scheme was designed by extracting the representative elements of the culture of Li ethnic minority.The others was designed by utilizing he geographic and unique climate characteristics of Sanya, which aims to combine the application of "Light" in the signs system design.The outdoor signs system design of Sanya pedestrian street achieves three major breakthroughs. Firstly, the modeling design approach not only draws on traditional pa tterns, but also surpass the traditional elements after restructuring them. Secondly, try a new presentation and dissemination. Thirdly, focus on the problem of the small spac e of Sanya pedestrian street and the huge flow of people there. We proposed wall sign s solutions which can maximize the space utilization.
