| In this paper as the center 10novles of YanBian writers JinGe, from t he linguistic point of view on the use of the methods statisticalanalysis to study the color words in the novel. The purpose of this paper to investig ate use of color words in the novel and further analysis of the color valu es and ideology.Language and culture are closely related, especially there are contain culture and temperament of nation in the color words, is an important p art of literary works. In this paper base on the east of YinYang five elem ents classificate color words as red, white, green, black and yellow, statis tics of the frequency and characteristics of the color words, combine with language environment to further analyzed the a ssociative meaning.Through the statistics of color words can see the preference and cha racteristics. During 223 of the total numbers red series accounted for 79, white series accounting for 71, green series accounted for 39, black serie s accounted for 21 and yellow series accounted for 13. In this paper, the color words combined with object classification "pants; astronomy; human; wear; animal; abstract thing; concrete thing; the other" eight kinds of ana lysis. The description of human body accounted for the highest proportion. In the works author good at using repetition and contrast methods bring different effects.Associative meaning is not fixed, changing by combined objects. The following summary of work in associative meaning, red series have"angr y, shadow, shy, terror, beautiful, happy, excited" seven meanings; white s eries have "nothing, old, terror, angry, start" five meanings; green series have "angry, terror, cool, weak.hope" five meanings; black series have"ma ny, despair, nothing" three meanings; yellow series have "weak, peace" t wo meanings. Author mainly adopts negative associative meanings to exp ress pain and sorrow.Through the study of color words not only understand the change of language system and helpful to understand the ideology and values of na tion. |
