Considering the current trend of contemporary art,it can be observed that techniques for traditional Chinese painting have being overlooked to some extent. Therefore,how to excellently combine traditional techniques with popular elements in contemporary art and how to make this combination get applied in the creation of Chinese figure painting becomes extremely significant in order to preserve traditional techniques which are the most quintessential part in the art of Chinese painting and simultaneously keep pace with the current trend of contemporary art.In accordance with what has been illustrated above,the author of this thesis intends to perform a study on the inheritance and innovation in the traditional line of Chinese figure-painting.What is going to be elaborated in part one is the linear features of DunHuang frescoes.The specific practices are as follows:making a comparison between the linear features of Dunhuang frescoes and the linear features of contemporary figure painting.Besides,part one presents the flowing deformation of line art in Dunhuang frescoes through taking individual works as example and combing the problems encountered in the course of creation.Part two compares the collected data on Chinese traditional figure painting and data on contemporary figure painting while concentrates on expounding my exploration into traditional Line Sketch of Chinese figure painting in contemporary age by analyzing the Line Sketch features of Chinese figure painting and the mastery of brush magnitude.Part two further elucidates that lines in Dunhuang frescoes exerts a tremendous influence on the creation of contemporary figure painting.Part three moves from copying Dunhuang frescoes to sketching from nature to creation process.The line features and variations of some representative frescos in each period are summarized through analyzing the lines in Dunhuang frescoes.Besides,some existing problems and reflections are proposed in part three contraposing the development status of contemporary Chinese figure painting.Inspired by Dunhuang frescoes in the course of creation,the author of this thesis intends to elaborate the inheritance and innovation in the traditional line in the process of creating Chinese figure painting.Subsequently,artistic characteristics and art trend presented in figure painting creation are given a detailed analysis.Moreover,this thesis hammers at studying how to achieve a perfect combination between traditional techniques of Chinese painting and artistic forms of contemporary Chinese figure painting.After experiencing a reiterative process which moves from Chinese figure painting creation to thesis to creation again,the author presents the problems personally encountered in the course of creation and elaborates some thoughts on the creation of figure painting. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Religious themes, Dunhuang Frescos, Figure Painting art works, Secular | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
