This paper attempts to research and analyze the drama writing of womenwriter Chen Zui and grasps and understands fully her survival state and heropera creation practice, which based on previous study results.The introduction section first briefly describes the general situation and theresearch status of Chen Zui. The writer’s main situation is on the basis ofmastering and analyzing the actual material, then making a simple statement.The study of Chen Zui and her works appear ascendant situation, and makecertain achievements. The relevant research of works and historical significanceof drama of creation review the approximate status of Chen Zui’s study.The first chapter reviews the basic information about Chen Zui’s life andmaking friends. The chapter is based on the literature mainly, focusing onresearching the writer’s life and recording the comment of her contemporariesand posterity; and restoring the woman writer’s life experiences objectively.Meanwhile, the author outline her broad friendship, and her friendship showsher extraordinary personality.The second chapter debates bibliographic works and works combing.Researching the author’s whole picture of the drama by analyzing the case ofdrama works and correcting errors of other works; then combing her literarycreation and the case of version. The third chapter analyzes the content of the drama text. Her works mainlyinherit the performance contents of traditional opera theme, but they aredifferent from the creation of traditional male or female creations. The writerdoes a little adaptation to the characters and plot of drama works, integratinginto the spirit of times, which leads to increase the length greatly, continuing theold theme and expressing a new ideological content. The writing is elegant andthe idea is strange for drama works; and its expressive is more delicate and richfrom the angles and positions of women.The fourth chapter overviews the subject of the drama creation. The dramacreation shows mainly exploration and thinking of the age women in terms ofself-destiny, love and marriage. The writing of self-destiny reflects the author’ssad and helpless of heart. The love and marriage problems reveals drawbacks ofthe liberation of women. The drama works not only look at the self weaknessesof the female, but also implicitly criticize the social reality, representing survivalof the state of lives of the age women, reflecting the“May Fourth”enlightenment and critical spirit of the times, which is a part of the femaledrama works creation cannot ignored.The fifth chapter analyzes Chen Zui’s drama on the features of artisticexpression. Her works continue the lyrical expression of traditional drama,showing elegant style in general, which are inseparable of traditional poetrywriting. The times emotions and self-awareness make works show lifecharacteristics of sadness and unique. The influence of modern drama culturemakes her works present distinct characteristics of the times, with the color ofmodernization in drama text, stage, language and so on. Finally, the author searches and researches related books, chronicles, notesand other bibliography of writer, coming out the writer’s life story andanalyzing the differences between different versions of the drama text in thesame work. The author does an appendix after the paper to show the content ofthe two parts, which is a reference for the paper and is an important part of thepaper.The innovation of this paper: First, the paper is based on the literature,debating and correcting error of previous research results, which include relatedto the writer’s date of birth, creation version and drama text for the record.Second, the paper analyzes the meaning and value of the works of drama onhistory of women literature and the history of modern Chinese drama, whichcombine with the characteristics of the times. Third, the paper explores theartistic features of the drama creation deeply and discusses the characteristicsof the color of the women, which is not involved in the study of predecessors.In view of my knowledge and experience, the paper of Chen Zui’s dramastudy is still inadequate. Please experts criticize and correct.
