The Interpretation Of Bronze Inscriptions In Sanjin Areas During The Warring States Period And Reaserch On Some Relevant Issues

In Zhanguo Dynasty, the contents of inscriptions on Jin series bronze ware areabundant。These inscriptions are supplement of literature. It is significant for studyancient character and theory of character regions in Zhanguo Dynasty. The research ofinscriptions recorded on the Jin dynasty’s bronze ware are a hot topic of academiccommunity，they have produced fruitful achievements. however，as so far,there stillexist some margin for further study，including proofreading and interpreting bydiscourse and differentiating the meaning of the key words about inscriptions of Jinbronzes.Meanwhile,based on a system of research on casting，correcting，collecting，placing and using inscriptions of bronzes，Some concepts need to sort out urgentlyand the depth of research can be further extended，it is the purpose and thesignificance of this essay.This thesis focuses on interpreting the inscriptions on Jin series bronze ware.Also, it systemizes and discusses systems in the inscriptions, for example, castingsystem and measure system. As for Jin series countries, mainly refers to East ZhouDynasty, West Zhou Dynasty, Hanguo Dynasty, Zhaoguo Dynasty and WeiguoDynasty. However, Zhongshanguo Dynasty, Weiguo Dynasty and Zhengguo Dynastyare not included. Bronze wares refer to bronze products with inscriptions specially.Weapons, currency and bronze mirror are not included.The text mainly introduces a research method by combined paleograph andhistory. On the basis of primary research productions of inscriptions, this paperfocuses on interpreting characters from literary content, nationality and era. It attachesimportance to studying contents of inscription and custom of diction in differentcountries either. Also, this thesis discusses historical information of inscriptions. This thesis contains introduction, straight matter and appendix.The main body ofthis text including interpretation of inscription and discussion on systems related toinscription. In the first part, inscriptions from Weiguo Dynasty, Hanguo dynasty,Zhaoguo Dynasty, East Zhou dynasty and West Zhou Dynasty are discusssuccessively. It mainly focuses on character formulation, opinions to key inscriptioninterpretation, reasons for nationality judgment, and explanation on connotations ofspecial character. In the second and third part, the text discusses casting system andmeasure system of inscription on bronze ware in Sanjin. The appendix,namely thedescription table of bronze inscriptions in sanjin areas, mark the source of the bronzefrom jicheng and mingxiangjicheng.
