This paper, on the basis of the existing research, from the semantic, syntactic,pragmatic three aspects compares "偶尔" and "有时".(1) semantic featuresFirst of all, we introduced the "偶尔" and "有时" the basic semantic features.Through the analysis of the corpus, we found that "偶尔" that in addition to action,behavior happens infrequently, express event, behaviour, action of the sudden,accidentally, this is “偶尔" second semantic the senses with semantic feature [+sporadic];"有时" has an adverbial semantic feature [+conditions]. Then, wecompared the frequency of "偶尔" and "有时", we think,"偶尔" and "有时" is thefrequency adverbs and all belong to the low frequency values, and the frequency of"有时" is lower than "有时". Finally, we use of three element structure theoryinvestigating "偶尔" and "有时" time system.(2)syntax featuresFirstly, we investigated"偶尔","有时" and the infinite structure, before the limitstructure, double limit and limit structure and structure of verb co-occurrence,concluded:"有时” express more selective in table attributes, relations and state;"偶尔" express more selective on action, movement. Then, we introduced the "偶尔"and "s有时" special usage, namely attributive situation. After detailed introduced the "偶尔" and "有时" level features,"偶尔" is a phrase layer adverb,"有时" as adverbsentence layer, they both can exist the cross level.(3) pragmatic featuresFirst of all, we introduced the "偶尔"and "有时"connecting function, they areboth with turning connection and supplement the connection function. Then weintroduced the two shift after the performance, the one is the function of scope isdifferent, the other is to show differences of subjectivity and objectivity. The finalinspection of the "偶尔" and "有时" in different kinds of sentences in theperformance. (4)Teaching Chinese as a foreign languageFirstly, searching the students interlanguage corpus provides the use of "偶尔"and "有时" errors, according to the error appears, proposed the textbook compilingand teaching method on the proposal. Compilation of teaching materials, the need for"偶尔" and "有时" filling Chinese interpretation; take a variety of teaching methodsto improve teaching effect of combining method.
