The thought of quantitive study has been fulfilled into every corner of the archeologicalstudies. This dissertation focuses on the geographical spatial allocation in Three Gorges from theperiod of Dongzhou to Han Dynasty via GIS technology and a view of geography to the summary. This research range of this dissertation is located in the delta of the parallel to ridge valley inthe Three Gorges region. The complex land shape is sure to constrain the ancient people in makingdecision for their environmental survival. The author divides the heritage address into two types:residential and grave, which are from the space distribution of elevation, slope, the distributionratio of the distribution ratio and river and study the distribution of time and space and the burialsite in different periods of evolution.Combined with the existed research, this dissertation arrives at the following four pieces ofconclusion as follows: firstly, after approaching Han Dynasty, the rate of the residents’ engaginginto agricultural productivity from the Three Gorges region increased with the depth of ‘Chinese’;second, the population in the Three Gorges has been constantly uprising with the development of apeaceful atmosphere and agriculture. At the same time when people’s survival space was threatened, the gathered inner function is detailing. In the developed and separated settlements and burial site, compared to the tombs, the address distribution in the geographical conditions more favorable area.Thirdly, for the special geological structures on both sides of the Yangtze River Three Gorges area, natural springs, salt industry to drive the development of the social and economic development inthe Three Gorges region, but also to attract more people to the banks of the Yangtze River; fourthly, the land shape in the Pingxing Ling Alley limits the traffic from the south to the north, where linksthe traffic line of the east and west of Yangtze River, but on the way of this road, where usuallygather more people. Thus, no mater how we view it from the angle of salty resources orcommunication transportation, Yangtze Rive has been the living line for the ancient people, therefore, the heritages are scattered along this path.
