Chronic hepatitis B is a kind of Infectious disease in our country, which is a serious threatto the safely of people’ s lives. While, as it is a physical and mental disease, only fromclinical indicators have not fully reflected the impact on the patients.The aspects ofpsychological and social should also be concerned. Based on cultural background,socio-economic and people’s values, The Quality of life is focused on the subjective feelingsof physical, psychological and social dimensions,and have a more fully reflect of the healthstatus of patients. Hope and Social Support are the important factors about the quality ofpatients. Therefore, the treatment of Chronic hepatitis B based on antiviral drugs shouldincrease some appropriate and reasonable psychological intervention. The combination ofMedical and Psychology can improve the effect of the treatment, and make the patients’quality of live better.Objective: To assess the quality of life in patients with chronic hepatitis B, to compare thedifference of epidemiological characteristics in quality of life and find out its relevantfactors;to investigate the relationship of hope, social support and the quality of life,whichprovides a basis for the psychotherapy;to investigate the influence of psychotherapy on thehope, social support and the quality of life in patients with chronic hepatitis B.Methods: Part1and part2: Collection of310hospitalized patients diagnosed with chronichepatitis B, with patients self-administered way, fill in self-compiled epidemiologicalquestionnaire by the topic organizing,the Herth Hope scale, the Social Support scale andKunming Medical College developed QLICD-CH(V2.0) Quality of Life scale for patientswith chronic hepatitis. Part3:A total of36inpatients divided into the intervention and thecontrol group, every group has18inpatients. The intervention received antiviral drugs andpsychotherapy(8weeks)in same time, The control group only receives antiviral drugs.Collection statistics before and after psychotherapy.Results: The overall quality of life of chronic hepatitis B patients were low and thedifference of epidemiological characteristics in quality of life were complex. There wassignificantly positive correlation between the hope and social support and the quality of life.The sense of hope plays an intermediary role during the process of social support affectingthe quality of life.The score of hope, social support and the quality of life of interventiongroup patients were higher than before psychotherapy,but the statistics of control group hadnot significant changes after psychotherapy.Conclusions: The overall quality of life of chronic hepatitis B patients were low and thedifference of epidemiological characteristics in quality of life were complex. The hope andsocial support were contribute to the quality of life,and The sense of hope plays anintermediary role during the process of social support affecting the quality of life.It isnecessary to assess the disease and give more useful treatment. Combination of thetreatment of antiviral drugs and Commonalities and personalized psychological interventionto effectively mobilize the patients make full use of their existing social support networks, and stimulate the intrinsic sense of hope to enhance the confidence, courage and perseveranceto overcome the disease promoting physical and mental health.
