It is well known that the Intertextuality is a theory of text which produced in both structuralism and post structuralism thought. The theory receives extensive attentions from researchers at home and abroad since it was introduced, and it has become one of the most frequently term in contemporary literary theory research. Scholar have interpreted the Intertextuality from different angles due to their different academic backgrounds, and brought the contents included and fields used in Intertextuality are extensively broadened. Up to now, Intertextuality theory not just the generalized theory, as well as the literary and artistic creation method.Zhuxian (诛仙)is a network fantasy novel by Web Writer Xiao Ding, attracted millions of public with its grand narrative form and considered as the acme of Chinese imaginative literature. It exists everywhere from novel to a large number of the ancient mythology of China, martial arts novels and Western magic. It should be pointed out that, Intertextuality is an effective analysis method for above existing. This thesis is mainly intended to explore the Zhuxian from the perspective of intertextuality.The thesis is incorporated by three chapters:The first chapter analysis the reasons why intertextuality existences in Zhuxian and other network mysteries. The second chapter first analyzes several main operation means, such as citation, pastiche, parody and collage, and these means specific performance of Zhuxian. Then analyzes the phenomenon of intertextuality in Zhuxian from image and motif. In Zhuxian, many images are based on the figures of Chinese myths and legends and mystery novels. The motif of animal gratitude is closely contacts the Buddhist stories,"Strange" and other mystery novels;"Hermitage" motif has an intertextual relationship with the traditional martial art novels of china. Chapter three analyzes creative method of intertextuality improves both heritage of Chinese traditional culture and intercourse between different cultures. Meanwhile, it also reveals several drawbacks that existence of undue intertextuality phenomenon reduces values of network novel as well as lead to the absence of innovation.The epilogue part make a summary as well as conclusion of the full text.
