Studies On Innovations For Digital Animation From Wu Opera Of Zhejiang Province

The Chinese opera, which is extensive and profound, has a very long history. It’s special and vivid culture charm convey the grace of Chinese culture. As a unique local opera of mid-Zhejiang area, Wu opera also has a long history and it is called "the orthodoxy of Hui opera, the ancestry of Jing opera and the living fossil of southern opera". Wu opera reached the peak in the Ming and Qing Dynasties and also had a brief brilliant after the founding of new China. Nowadays, as traditional Wu opera is gradually fading out of sight, this valuable national art needs updating reform and innovation to revitalize and transmission.The animation on the theme of opera formed a unique artistic expression form which combines the opera and animation. The modern aesthetics and expression of this kind of animation remedy the shortcoming of traditional opera, especially in the form and spread. It is also opens up a new developing field for animation industry and provides a great number of materials for animation. It is positive to promote and transmission the opera.The research investigated the history and current situation of Wu opera, detailed explored the creative feasibility of Wu opera animation, according to the existing features of opera animation. It illustrated the aesthetic innovation of Wu opera, which means the animation form of adaptation and creation, and the meaning and value in the process of protection, transmission and popularization. Combining the exploration in creative experience, the research proposed the re-creation of Wu opera characters, the selection and adaptation of script plot and the creation of animation drawing of Wu opera outfit.At last, the research promoted the creation idea and method of Wu opera animation and the innovative implementation of Wu opera animation popularization, previewed the future development of Wu opera animation, hoping to make the exploration of the transmission of Wu Opera.
