A Study On The Variations Of Li Shangyin’s Poetry

Li shangyin, who is the bright star of the Tang poets. A lot of readers attracted by hisunique poetry style and artistic poetry conception. By efforts of scholars from all dynasties,The collection of his works, the retrace of his life, the criticism of his poem`s chronicle andbackground,the research of image, artistic conception and poem style, has born fruitfulresults.The research about variants of Li`s poem is obviously insufficient, this article try todiscuss the variations from the title of poem and the synonyms in image group, fill a gap thatacademic research achievements in this respect.This article has three chapters and two main parts. Two main parts refer to the researchabout synonyms variation and poem title variation. Chapter one is overview about this twoparts, primarily shows the case, cause, main feature, research method and focus of this twodifferent variations.The first main part is discuss the synonyms variation of Li`s poems, andit has three sections: section one is about the animalia variants and plant-based variants,which is focus on philology analysis. The animalia variants in Li ’s poetry includes variantChinese characters, variant interchangeability characters, and variant allusion.Theplant-based variants consists of variant compound word, variant erroneous words, andvariant Chinese characters. The second section research on the number class variation andthe orientation class variation,this section is textual research on original character. Thenumber class variation including the number class variation related to date, the number classvariation appearing in non-antithesis position, and the number class variation which underthe influence of the antithesis.The orientation class variation general point differentdirections or location, reflected later readers’ cognition and explorations to spatialrelationships.The third section is search the astronomy and season variation, this section isfocus on connotation of poem, this two variations are not be a obstacle to reading poetry, butthey will subtly influence the artistic conception of the poem.The second part research on title variation of Li`s poems, this part is divided into threesections based on existing forms of title.Section one is the content does not accord with thetitle, this phenomenon can be refined into four categories, for example,the original title was lost, and was mistaken merged into previous poem share the same title and so on.Section twois discuss the redundant words and lost words in titles of poems. The last section is discussthe situation of variation in titles of Li`s poems.
