Research On Parent Rearing Style, Self-esteem, Implicit Aggression And Their Relations Among Vocational Students

To study the relationship between self-esteem， parent rearing style and implicitaggression，this research investigated sixty-nine vocational students，measuresd theself-esteem， parent rearing style using the method of questionnaire and implicitaggression using implicit association test.The results are as follows：1.Vocational students’ self-esteem and implicit aggression has no significantdifference in gender，place of residence and other demographic variables；vocationalstudents’ self-esteem has edge significant difference in age.2.There was significant difference between male vocational students and femalevocational students in the parent rearing style which father punished severely，motherover protected； there was significant difference between single-child and nonsingle-child in the parent rearing style which father preference and mother preference.3.Father love acts as a positive predictor of self-esteem，father overprotection actsas a negative predictor of self-esteem.4.Self-esteem acts as a negative predictor of implicit aggression.5.Father punishment acts as a positive predictor of implicit aggression.6.Self-esteem acts as a mediator between father punishment and implicitaggression.father punishment can affect directly the implicit aggression and can affectindirectly implicit aggression through self-esteem.
