The second chapter focuses on the origin and theprepositions grammaticalization problem. From the prepositions grammaticalization of semanticevolution and grammatical structure, we make a detailed analysis. The third chapter mainlyanalyse the preposition and other small prepositions from the grammatical function and semanticfunction.we propose the main reason which caused the distinguish is the verb expansion ofdifferent grammatical structure category. The fourth chapter based on the above study ofprepositions grammaticalization,we summed up the evolution mechanism of the prepositions inthe "virtual process verb to preposition", and discuss the evolution mechanism from semantics,syntax, cognitive angle. Meanwhile,we also point out that in the process of evolution ofprepositions, weakening change, semantic and syntactic position and re－analysis plays animportant role in this process. The last part is the conclusion, summary the full text and putsforward some problems to solve.
