Report On Chinese Translation Of Digital Marketing Analytics

With the development of the Internet, people are close to electronic products and far away from paper books. However, as an important way to spread information, the paper book is irreplaceable and has a profound influence on our lives. Translating books is a crucial part of the translation activities.Digital marketing is marketing that makes good use of Internet, communication technology and digital interactive media to achieve the goal. With the development of the network technology, digital marketing is accepted by many people and undergoing explosive growth. Many software tools we are familiar with are actually marketing platforms, such as Facebook and Twitter in the foreign countries, Taobao, Weibo and Wechat in our daily life, and the mobile devices (including ISO and Android system). Digital Marketing Analytics is published in2013to analyze the digital marketing and make sense of consumer data in a digital world. Due to the fact that a Chinese version is needed for domestic users, it was my great honor to be authorized by Post&Telecom Press to translate this book.In this report, the author takes the practice of translating this book as an example to describe the whole translation process in detail, including project analysis, translation preparation, the translation process and post-editing. According to the translation theory and skills learned in the class and the problems confronted in the translation process, this paper lists some methods to solve these problems with examples. Based on the practice, the author expresses her own feelings and summarizes the experience and lessons in order to benefit the future translation practice.
